Vacation Highlights

Our week long family vacation ended tonight and I wanted to share some of our highlights with you. I asked the Boys to help me remember what we did while we were on vacation and Harpers first memory was playing in the leaves.

We started our vacation by going out to dinner with Grandma Connie and Grandpa Carl to El matador in Ogden it was delicious. Then on Monday the first offical day on Vacation we cleaned the house and got Harpers big boy bed all ready for him. We pause in the middle of cleaning for a lunch break at Costa Vida next to the surfers and fat cats. Of course we had to go to Fat Cats which the kids love. Harper and mommy and daddy decided that he was done with diapers and was going to wear big kid underwear from now on and go on the potty. He has done so well and we had to leave fat cats early so he could go potty at his house.

On Tuesday Harper went to his school and Ben went shopping with mommy and Daddy to Target where we found Harpers "alligator" really its a dragon costume. We also decided because Ben bite me twice that he was going to be Stitch from Lilo and Stitch for Halloween, they are kindred souls.

Wednesday Rusty and I were able to have a day date we went to a movie which is a treat for us. We saw Couples retreat which was really good. Then we took a drive up the Canyon to go fishing and on a picnic but hunting season isn't a good time to go on a picnic in the woodenisms. So we just pulled over to the side of the road to take pictures and so I could give him his new camera a Canon 30D. I haven't seen him since. lol.

When we got back from our day date we went up to the fruit stands on the old highway in Brigham and picked out our pumpkins. They had a mini corn maze for kids. Harper had to roll his pumpkin becasue it was so big and Ben just pointed at the one he wanted. On the way home Harper saw an amazing sunset over Willard Bay and said "oh wow that sunset is beautiful I need to take a picture of that." Grandpa pulled over on the side of the road and let him take a picture of his beautiful sunset.

The rest of the vacation goes into Rusty and Bens birthdays so I am going to put them on other posts.
